The summer have passed, now it's time to go forward with many of our plans for the Natomas Farm. Why did I wait til the summer have passed to start our expansion? I hate to work in the heat :-)
A fruit stand is planned, but before that structure can be built, I need to do some road work. Two new driveways are to be created out on the main road......that will be an entrance to drive right pass the stand......and then to an exit. I have an excavator coming in, after a few rains softens up the ground, to install the twenty foot long covert pipes that will be placed under the driveways.
Then truck loads of dirt fill will have to be brought in.....hopefully from a few local swimming pool contractors. These guys are always in dire need to dispose of dirt......it's very expensive to take to a landfill these days. I say it'll take three or four months to complete this task......construction work days depends on the arrival of dirt and machinery availability.
During the next few weeks of posting....Farmer Deno will be posting about out 2012 -2013 plans for the farm. All exciting stuff......finally starts to come together.
