A hand operated log splitter....I had to look twice at the ad that was posted by Harbor Freight.......seller of that "be cautious, it may be junk" merchandise.
If this unit really does the job that so many of the consumer reviews of this contraption said about it......maybe it be good here at the farm. Not for splitting the winter's wood for our farmhouse....rather for the campfire wood that we will be offering in a few weeks from now...at our roadside fruit stand.
Instead of tending a the berry crop..... or perhaps reading "The Farmer's Almanac" that I have read religiously for four decades..... while waiting around for customers to arrive at the stand........I'll split wood and bundle it. What a great idea if this crazy machine actually works.
After buying it for $99.00...........got free shipping on it.......un'boxed it and then I laughed. Really? Really?
Well...........I must say it works like a champ! No more laughing.
This is a great little unit for anyone that wishes to do some log spitting....and it's easy to handle the unit. Tell the Grandkids that it is a toy.....for them :-)
