Lucky turns her head away from the given gift of watermelon while Number Four is giving off an low guttural sound of hostility. I'll sleep with my door closed tonight.
Talking about watermelons.....after the harvest several weeks ago....I decided to just leave the vines intact. Amazingly we have watermelons growing again! It's the same for the Boule d'Or melons......popping up like weeds.
The irrigation to the apple orchard was turned off several weeks ago....in preparation for removal of the infected trees. Taking a negative issue such as the Fire Blight disease that hit the orchard......and turning it into a positive.....we are very excited about the melon patch concept that we will be installing there.
Perhaps Number Four just wanted seedless watermelon, you think?
