Everyone has a garden tool. Most are made of wood. These are the tools that create bowls of bountiful veggies and fruits from your garden. These are the tools that creates......bountiful splinters in your hands.

Yes...we all bought these with shiny lacquered hardwood handles.....and then in a few years they become splinter factories. By keeping these tools in a shed....away from the sunlight....the factories will never open. But.............we all do indeed leave our tools outside!

Here is the solution to keep that nasty splinter factories closed: Get a quart of high gloss paint. I used dark green by the the way....... so that the tools are somewhat visually hidden in the garden area.  Paint the all of the wood. This will keep the sunlight from destroying your tools. Using high gloss paint gives a smooth surface handling. Easy long term solution.
