The "test" crop of tomatoes was a kicker!

The "test" crop of tomatoes was a kicker! About 900 pounds of the fruit from just 29 plants. Three varieties. No chemicals. No staking. Drip on timer.

All garden crops here at the farm for the past two years were test crops. One more year of testing.....then we go full blazing planting of the selected items. The farm construction will be ready then (water, storage, greenhouse, barn, and a hundred other needed functions that have to be in place for operations)

All those tomatoes BTW:
188 pounds of Spaghetti Sauce
48 pounds of tomato sauce
8 pounds of tomatoes paste

Zero waste......parts left over from processing..... went to the chickens!

Tomato sauce was easy to make....most recipes call for celery stalk to be added....I added one small cucumber instead. Very fantastic flavor.
