A few years ago, the farm planted 40 lemon bushes. Fact is.....that was our very first "cash" crop that we installed. Into the third year now, the lemons bush count is down to 14! Old man Frost came around ...did a royal job in killing off the orchard. Did I say we lost the whole 40 limes bushes too?
This year, Jeanette counted that we had around 500 lemons. We will be using this crop for household cooking, and for the commercial products that we plan to produce ....in 3-4 years from now.
I made a lemon pie....well...I made lemon pies(!)... that were outstanding in taste. I'll be posting the recipe in the future....if I find the time. My time is so consumed with eating pies......
